Each of our unique rooms is named after a precious stone, reflecting the literal meaning of the ancient Sanskrit word Ratnakara – “creator of gems”
Ratnakara boasts five spacious, beautifully appointed bedroom suites; four king-sized double twin rooms and one triple with three single beds.
All of our rooms are furnished in traditional style with handmade hard-wood furniture, bright Sri Lankan fabrics and cooling polished-concrete floors. The open design of the house, very typical here in Sri Lanka, precludes air-conditioning instead using natural air flow and ceiling fans to ensure you have a cool and comfortable nights sleep
Mosquitos are not generally a problem at Ratnakara however they do appear from time to time so all our beds are fitted with nets should you need them
